Root canal therapy is a procedure done to preserve the tooth when it becomes infected. Caused by bacteria, the heart of the tooth, i.e., the pulp, which responsible for giving life and sensations to the tooth, gets damaged resulting in pain.
The procedure of Root canal is fairly simple and is mostly completed in a single visit. The tooth in question is cleaned entirely, the pulp is removed and is replaced with a filling called Gutta Percha, and sealed.
